Emphasis is placed on designing shared experiences, such as collaborative touchpoints and engagement in current events, that will help students feel connected to each other.

 In this session, participants will learn how to:

• Identify at least two communication practices that can strengthen their instructor presence and promote shared experiences among students in an online course.
• Design or revise one course element (e.g., announcement, discussion prompt, or writing assignment) to enhance community-building and student engagement.
