Night Owls are an on campus resource that is a branch of SHARE. They are staffed by students and walk around campus on weekend nights to provide resources (snacks, water, safer sex supplies, hand warmers, ear plugs, friendly conversation, resources to mental health resources, etc.) to students to ensure that they have all the resources to stay safe during weekend nights. The class is intended to inform the Reed Community further about how Night Owls are trained to keep the community safe in a non-enforcement realm and how non-Night Owls can practice some of those skills to ensure a safer campus climate.
