The Yale School of Medicine Educational Technology & Innovation (YSM ETI) team will host a Citizen Developer Workshop as part of the Technology in Medical Education Innovation Series (TIME Series), scheduled for June 30, 2026, at the Cushing/Whitney Medical Library team-based learning classroom (SHM L 115).
This interactive session introduces the principles of citizen development—empowering non‑IT professionals to design simple digital solutions in a Yale-approved platform. The workshop will focus on building basic apps for medical education and academic workflows in a Yale-approved platform that meets the institution's standards for data protection, accessibility, and sustainability.
Through brief “mini‑teach” segments and guided, hands‑on exercises, participants will learn how to identify a good candidate problem, right‑size a solution, understand when lightweight tools are appropriate, and when to engage a Yale IT professional for review.
No coding or technical background is needed—just curiosity and an interest in innovating responsibly within the YSM education community.
