Offered here is a large collection of 18 vintage Magnepan Tympani planar magnetic speaker panels, being sold together as one lot for restoration, repair, or parts.
These are classic American-made Magneplanar speakers, well known among vintage high-end audio enthusiasts for their remarkable open, spacious sound.
These were acquired in an estate sale from an audio collector., and it's time for someone with the knowledge, space, and ambition to put them to good use.
CONDITION:
Some of these panels work, and others do not. I have not recently tested each individual panel, and I am not making any guarantees regarding their operating condition.
Some have their original fabric coverings, while others have exposed rear surfaces. There is age-related wear, and some may require replacement or repair of the internal wiring, diaphragms, or other components.
Original crossover components are visible on some panels, as shown in the photographs.
Please examine all photographs carefully. Everything is being sold in its present condition.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Magnepan restoration enthusiast, vintage audio collector, or technician looking for original Tympani panels and components.
