"Knoll International 172-173" directly on the underside of the foot, confirming it as a highly collectible 1970s mid-century original.
Please note: The wood veneer tabletop does not have Knoll markings and should be treated as a high-quality aftermarket replacement top. The entire piece has been priced in line with what an authentic vintage Knoll base alone sells for. This is an excellent option for a collector who will just keep the base and pair it with their own custom stone/ marble top, or for someone who wants to use it immediately as is with a functional top.
Condition Details:
Base: Features the highly sought-after 172-173 factory stamp. There is zero rust anywhere on the metal.
Tabletop: Features a beautiful wood grain that has just been freshly cleaned, deep-conditioned, and buffed with premium wood wax.
Logistics & Easy Transport:
• Disassembly: The table is already safely disassembled into two separate pieces. The wood top lifts cleanly off the original Knoll sub-plate (which stays attached to the metal base), and the 3 mounting screws are kept safely in a Ziploc bag.
One-Person Load: Because the replacement wood veneer top is engineered to be lightweight, this entire table can be easily lifted, carried, and loaded by one person (if you are shorter it may be tougher to get a good hold on the 42" top but I can help load it into your vehicle). It fits completely flat into a standard SUV and many other vehicles but please double check your car
