The price is $600. This price is firm and non-negotiable. Please don't ask for a discount or make an offer.

For sale is a wooden sitting stool or chair. This stool is intended to be used when sitting at a piano. But you could also use it for other applications, such as sewing, crafting, etc. It can also be a display item that just sits in the corner. It's got a Victorian look and style to it, especially the ornate legs and backrest.

Given its style and look, this was likely manufactured by the Charles Parker Furniture Company of Connecticut. Since it does not have the Charles Parker stamp on the metal support bracket underneath the rotating sitting surface, it's likely constructed in the 1880s or 1890s. The entire stool measures 16" wide, 18" deep, and 35" tall. It weighs about 40 pounds.

The sitting surface of the stool is a round disk that measures 14" in diameter. The sitting surface is capable of rotating in place 360 degrees. But if you want, you can also lock it to prevent rotation. The locking mechanism only works at the lowest height setting.

The sitting surface is also height adjustable. At its lowest level, it sits 17.5" off of the ground. At its highest level, it sits 23" off of the ground. You can adjust the sitting surface to any height between these two extremes.

The back of the stool has a backrest that raises up 20" from the support platform underneath. The backrest is not height adjustable. On the bottom below the adjustable rotating sitting surface are the support platform and support arms that hold everything in place.

At the very bottom are four legs that end with metal claw-feet and glass balls. These are sometimes called claw-and-ball feet and typically represent a bird's claw gripping a ball.

The entire stool is constructed of genuine walnut wood. This is hardwood throughout and NOT cheaper walnut veneer over MDF. The only portion that is not walnut is the metal support pole that allows the stool surface to rotate and the metal and glass claw feet.

The entire stool is in excellent structural condition. All wooden sections are robustly connected and held together in a very sturdy manner. This stool is rock solid. The rotating top stool portion moves smoothly with no friction.

The stool is also in excellent cosmetic condition. There are a few tiny scratches on some wood surfaces, but most are not noticeable. The claw-and-ball feet are nearly perfect.

I prefer that you reach out via text message. Sending an initial email message is OK. But arranging pickup solely using email is not a feasible option for me. Eventually, you'll have to text me to arrange a specific pickup or delivery time. Thanks.
