Hi, I am looking for a FULL PRIVATE APARTMENT for just the academic year. I am graduating in May and I am an older student who needs to come back to finish my degree for two semesters on campus. I have one small Boston Terrier, and my ideal budget is about $1000 a month before utilities. I would like to avoid having to rent for the summer because I have a home in a city about 100 miles from Champaign that I already have to cover some housing costs for while I am in Champaign. I would prefer to just come up and have a place to stay and go to classes while I work from home, then leave the place in May like I found it. I would like a furnished unit but that is not essential. Fall-only is also OK but I expect those to be even less available than academic year leases. I know full year is always preferable, but if anyone has one that they haven't been able to rent yet and are worried about staying vacant, I am here to pick up 8-9 months of the lease.
Again, I am an older student with a quiet lifestyle who won't be bringing other undergrads or students to the apartment or causing any trouble. I have a full-time income alongside my financial aid and can pay first, last, and deposit immediately and cover rent comfortably.
If anyone has something, please let me know.
Edited because I forgot to mention: I am only looking for a private apartment, so a one bedroom or a studio, or a full 2b unit if the price is right.
