Medical Librarian -Part-time & Virtual

Position Summary
Stanford Medicine Center for Longevity and Healthy Aging is seeking a part-time collaborative, highly innovative Medical Librarian. The successful candidate will deliver advanced literature searches, integrate information literacy into the medical curriculum, and support evidence-based clinical decision-making. You will work within a dynamic team focused on aging.
Core Responsibilities

Research & Evidence Synthesis: Conduct expert, complex literature searches in PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, and Web of Science to support systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and grant applications.
Instruction & Training: Design workshops on biomedical database searching, evidence-based medicine (EBM) principles, and reference management tools like EndNote.
Minimum Requirements

Education: Master's degree in Library and Information Science (MLIS/MLS) from an ALA-accredited institution. An additional educational background in life sciences or health informatics is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of professional experience in an academic medical library environment.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Expert proficiency with biomedical electronic resources and complex medical taxonomy (MeSH keywords).
Demonstrated experience contributing directly to systematic reviews or evidence synthesis projects.
Excellent interpersonal and instructional communication skills to engage effectively with physicians, researchers, and students.
Familiarity with compliance policies, including the NIH Public Access Policy and data sharing mandates
