Modern Room in Kendall/MIT w/ Roof Deck near the T

Right at the heart of Kendall/MIT, minutes away from the Red line and Lechmere Green line, this modern, Scandinavian inspired home is the perfect place for your Boston/Cambridge stay. A short walk to the Charles River and the Beacon Hill area, as well as steps away from the coffee shops, great restaurants, and bio-tech businesses of Kendall, you are in the prime location to get anywhere from Harvard Square to Newbury Street.

The space
This bedroom features a firm full-sized bed and a spacious closet. Adjacent, is a private bathroom with a shower.

The house itself is newly renovated and carefully designed--full of Danish furniture, high end appliances, and beautiful art. The open design of the first floor allows for a welcoming living, dining, and kitchen space. The kitchen has a Sub-Zero fridge, Wolf stove and oven, large marble countertops, and a high-end automatic coffee machine that can make you a latte at the touch of a button! It also opens out onto a deck with patio furniture. Here you can have your morning coffee while enjoying the beauty of the garden.

If available, the downstairs area has another living room with an Apple smart TV and Sonos sound system. Furthermore, the kitchenette there includes more high-end appliances like a Wolf mini-fridge and wine fridge, as well as a sink and dishwasher. There is also a table and chairs for dining and study. On this level, there is also a large washer-dryer unit in the laundry room.

Lastly, the upper level has a large roof deck with patio tables, chairs, and a sofa with views of the garden. There is also an additional washer-dryer unit there.

Guest access
The bedroom and bathroom are private to you. The other main areas are shared: living room, dining room, kitchen, TV/family room (only when available), the 1st floor patio, and the rooftop patio. Other than those spaces, additional rooms are not available to you.

Other things to note
Parking: You must inform us in advance if you need parking. We can provide a permit for street parking for 3 days + Sunday.

We are an Earth conscious! When you stay with us, we hope you share in our goal of making small steps towards being more green. At our home, we divert food waste from landfills by composting. We use eco-friendly, plastic-free tools like loofah sponges and wooden scrub brushes. We also source our cleaning supplies such as laundry and dishwasher detergent from a local package free and bulk refill shop. Even our toilet paper is made from bamboo or recycled paper!

We hope that our sustainability values resonate with those that stay with us and ask that you try and do your part too! Small things like remembering to turn off the lights when you leave for the day or turning off the tap when you brush your teeth really mean a lot to us! Thank you!

Additionally, please note the rules for this space:

• No smoking, drug use, or excessive drinking
• No bringing outside guests into the space
• Be respectful of the space and furniture by keeping areas relatively clean, especially shared areas like the kitchen
• Please keep volume to a minimum, especially in the evenings
• Appropriately dispose of items (separate into trash, recycling, and compost)
• Use appliances appropriately (ie. only run dishwasher, washer, and dryer when adequately full)
• Do not eat food that is not your own (outside of cooking staples such as salt, pepper, oil, etc.)
• No pets
• Please remove your shoes upon entry into the house
