We are looking for a reliable, energetic, and responsible after-school family assistant to help care for our two boys, ages 9 and 11.
Schedule:
Approximately 4:00–7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
We are seeking someone who can commit to a consistent weekly schedule. Some flexibility with start and end times would be helpful based on school and sports schedules.
Responsibilities
- Pick up the children from school
- Drive them to and from sports practices and other activities
- Prepare or serve a simple dinner
- Make sure homework and other responsibilities are done
- Encourage them to clean up after themselves and prepare for the following day
- Provide engaged, responsible supervision until a parent is available
Ideal Candidate
- Has previous childcare, nanny, teaching, coaching, or family-assistant experience
- Is dependable, punctual, organized, and proactive
- Is comfortable caring for independent, school-aged children
- Can establish clear expectations while being warm, positive, and engaging
- Is comfortable helping with homework and managing busy afternoon schedules
- Communicates well with both children and parents
- Is available for a consistent, longer-term position
Driving Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Reliable, safe vehicle with appropriate insurance
- Comfortable driving children to school, sports practices, and activities
- Willing to complete a background and driving-record check
Compensation
$35 per hour plus mileage reimbursement when using your own vehicle for driving.
