We have a room available in our beautiful hilltop home perched in the peaceful hills of Mt. Washington, one of LA’s hidden gems. The home has stunning views and is surrounded by trees and wildlife, yet minutes from Highland Park, Eagle Rock, Downtown LA and South Pasadena. It’s only a 5–10 minute drive down the hill to restaurants, bars, grocery stores, parks and public transit.
This is a 2-story, 3-bedroom/2.5-bath house. Shared spaces are on the first floor (including a guest bath), and bedrooms are upstairs. The bedroom has a high wood-beam ceiling with a fan and a walk-in closet with built-ins. You would be sharing a bathroom with one other very clean female, and you would have your own designated parking spot on the driveway.
The house has an open kitchen with a commercial stove, a spacious deck, wood-beam ceilings, fireplace, washer/dryer, central air, smart TV, gas BBQ, high-speed internet and keyless entry. Common areas are furnished, the bedroom can be furnished or unfurnished.
About Me: Early rising, LA native with Mexican roots, GenXer and small business owner who works from home. I'm the homeowner and put a lot of care into the house, so I’d love to find a housemate who will really enjoy and treat it as their own.
About the Other Housemate: 25-year-old from Atlanta with Brazilian roots who works a 9–5 job in fashion. Super sweet, respectful, clean and easygoing. She’s a music lover, sewist/upcycler who enjoys being around people and loves the outdoors and playing soccer.
About You: Kind, clean and communicative. Ideally, you work outside the home at least part of the week and are looking for a peaceful home with some community.
We all pitch in to keep the shared spaces pristine and have a housekeeper come once a month for deeper cleaning. If your motto is "leave things as clean (or better) than you found them," you'll probably feel right at home here. Otherwise, the vibe is pretty relaxed, with occasional dinner parties, movie/game nights, and BBQs. Overnight guests are welcome with a heads-up. The same goes for partners, within reason.
