As a 55-year-old female therapist, I value a home that is peaceful and warm. My ideal roommate is someone empathic, who is comfortable quietly sharing space when down time is needed, as well as (and this may seem paradoxical) who also enjoys sharing about their day, joking around in the kitchen, and sitting down for an occasional meal. Additionally, I seek someone who communicates directly, and likes to collaboratively problem-solve. I also seek someone non-smoking and non-substance-using, who is willing to do dishes right away, and keep things generally neat, and lastly, doesn’t mind that there isn't a TV in the living room.
