I’m a venture-backed founder running a fast-moving startup, and I’m looking for a sharp, organized, and proactive partner to help me run company operations and day-to-day execution.
If you want front-row, hands-on experience in how a funded startup operates without having to build from scratch, this role offers high leverage and direct access. I can't promise that this will be the next google, but I am trying my best.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sounding Board & Distillation: Join daily or regular check-ins to listen, ask clarifying questions, and translate verbal "brain dumps" into organized project plans, docs, or task lists.
- Accountability & Tracking: Keep track of open deliverables, follow up on pending items, and gently keep the founder (and team) on schedule.
- Agent Management
- Process Optimization: Identify where systems are breaking down and set up simple, clean workflows to keep the business running smoothly.
Who You Are:
- Organized & Structured: You love turning chaos into structure
- Active Listener & Clear Communicator: You synthesize complex or fast-moving thoughts quickly and aren't afraid to ask "So, what's the immediate next step?" or say that something needs refinement.
- Proactive & Independent: You don't wait to be told every detail; you see a loose end and help tie it up.
- Startup-Curious: Ideal for a Stanford student (undergrad or grad) interested in entrepreneurship, venture capital, or startup operations.
Logistics & Compensation:
- Hours: 10-20 hours/week (flexible around class schedules or existing commitments).
- Location: Palo Alto (In-person work sessions preferred).
- Pay: $40-60/hour (depending on experience and scope).
How to Apply:
- Send a brief email introducing yourself, your availability, a quick summary of your background, and one sentence on why you’d be a great fit as an operational partner.
- Please include your LinkedIn URL, resume, or your personal website.
