Beautiful original pair of Acoustic Research AR-2ax acoustic-suspension speakers, one of AR’s classic vintage loudspeaker designs from Cambridge, Massachusetts.
These are genuine AR-2ax speakers with their original wood cabinets, cloth grilles, rear level controls and surviving Acoustic Research factory labels.
The AR-2ax is a highly regarded classic 3-way acoustic-suspension speaker, known for its natural, warm sound and especially strong performance with vinyl and vintage analog equipment.

Condition:
Good original vintage condition. The cabinets show normal age-related wear, scratches and marks, including a visible ring mark on the top of one cabinet.
Both speakers were recapped and restored in the last few years by a pro and sound incredible.
A fantastic pair for a vintage hi-fi system and a great match for classic Marantz, Fisher, McIntosh, Dynaco, Sansui and similar equipment.
