Hope Family Center and the University of Rochester is thrilled to bring you a special screening of the feature length film: "Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders and the Pursuit of the Respect Act." This film has been 8 years in the making and aims to increase awareness and decrease stigma about FASD.
FASD is a common developmental disability that affects 1 in 20 people. Despite such high rates, most people have limited understanding of this condition and there are few services and supports in the community.
The screening will be held in the historic Theater 1 at The Little Theatre in Rochester, NY on Sunday, July 12, starting at noon. The film run time lasts an hour, and will be followed by Q&A with the film director, producer, and featured cast members.
There is no cost to attend the film. Children and families are welcome.

Meet Emily Hargrove, a self-advocate from Paducah, Kentucky, living with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD). In this heartfelt and eye-opening film, Emily sets out to reduce the stigma and build a better community as she fights for the passage of the FASD Respect Act.
