This interactive one-hour session lead by Paul Claiborne, former Bank of America executive and UNC Charlotte alumnus, introduces students to the essential principles of effective workplace leadership in today's dynamic business environment. Participants will explore the distinction between leadership and management, examine the characteristics of successful leaders, learn practical approaches to motivating and developing teams, and discuss how emotional intelligence, communication, and ethical decision-making contribute to organizational success. Through discussion and real-world scenarios, students will leave with actionable strategies they can apply as emerging leaders in any industry. There will be a networking lunch after the presentation! This workshop is eligible for the Fall 2026 Career Challenge!
