Boston University College of Fine Arts is hosting our third annual CFA-wide Food Drive! All members of the CFA community can donate food to the BU Food Pantry to provide meals to BU students in need. It is estimated that 30-50% of college students nationwide experience food insecurity, and learning and thriving can't happen when a student is concerned about where their next meal will come from. The BU Food Pantry is available to all BU students, and in the 2025-2026 school year, the pantry distributed over 19,000 pounds of food!
Last year, the College of Fine Arts alone donated 175 pounds of food to the BU Food Pantry! Our goal this year is to surpass our donation amount from last year so we can provide even more for our students in need. Help us be a part of making a difference in our students' wellbeing.
Acceptable food item donations include brand new, non-perishable food in small sizes including grains, pasta, ramen, canned vegetables, fruits, soup, and canned meats, pasta sauce, healthy cereal, granola bars, and oatmeal. Please do not donate extra large/bulk/family size packages. See the link below for a full list of what you should or shouldn't donate.
You may drop off food items during business hours (9am-5pm) from October 13-23 in the designated bin at the CFA Dean’s Office (855 Commonwealth Ave, Room 230).
If you have any questions about the food drive, please reach out to Brandi Main at bmain@bu.edu.
