Experience the sights, sounds, and craftsmanship of early mechanical power with live demonstrations of flywheel engines, a rope-making machine, antique tractors, grinders, and more! This event celebrates the ingenuity and innovative machinery that helped shape rural Louisiana for generations. Families and kids can enjoy hands-on activities throughout the day.
Free for museum members and included with general admission for non-members.
Take the entrance off Essen Ln. When you pass the gates, continue straight for approximately 1.5 miles until you reach a traffic circle with historic buildings on your left side. At the traffic circle, continue straight until you can take a left into the LSU Rural Life Museum parking lot.
