Canvas with Purpose! Four-Part Workshop Series

In this hybrid workshop series, you will use your current Canvas course as a foundation! You'll learn simple, time-saving techniques that you can quickly apply to your Canvas course without starting from scratch! This series is for faculty both familiar and new to using Canvas.

We will use the Quick Canvas Checklist, a comprehensive and easy-to-follow Canvas course review checklist. We will explore the following areas related to teaching on Canvas:

• Session 1: Build a Strong Course Structure (Tuesday, September 1 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. )
• Session 2: Engage Your Learners (Wednesday, September 23 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.)
• Session 3: Assess What Matters (Thursday, October 22 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.)
• Session 4: Faculty Idea Exchange (Wednesday, November 18 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.)

Each session will be hybrid (both in-person in Clark Hall and Zoom options). Light refreshments will be provided to those attending in-person. To earn a certificate, all sessions must be attended.

The deadline to apply is 11:59 p.m. on August 25, 2026.  We will let you know the cohort selection by August 28th.
