• Understand how calcium imaging can be used to monitor spinal cord neural activity long term in the awake, behaving animal
• Understand the differences between tissue and nerve injury-induced chronic pain
• Understand how contemporary in silico chemical screening approach can lead to the development of novel, non-opioid analgesics
