AI Aware World

Teaching is difficult at any time but in the midst of the technological tsunami that is AI, it can be enough to drive us all to despair. We hope to alleviate some of that despair in this session, in which we’ll find support among one another as we assess where we (and the AI landscape) stands at the start of a new academic year; how we might return to our course goals in order to find new ways forward for assessments and activities; some ideas for how we might approach our students in our discussions of AI; and how we can feel more confident in the ways that we choose to use, and avoid the use of, AI in our classes. This session will include conversation and interaction as we seek to build a community of teachers who work together to find our way forward in light of one of education’s biggest challenges.
