Join us on Wednesday, September 9, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for the Interdisciplinary Research Sandbox, hosted by the Sustainability Research Institute (SRI) in partnership with the REACH Center, the Redstone Global Center (RGC), the Global Food Institute, and the Trustworthy AI Initiative.
We look forward to facilitating discussions around topics including:
Researchers from all disciplines welcome.
What to Expect
The Sandbox will be a dynamic mix of networking, big-idea brainstorming, and collaborative planning. Together, we’ll work toward developing new research concepts, forming teams, and exploring ways to spark ongoing, cross-disciplinary research collaborations.
Pre-Work
To make the most of our time together, please come prepared with 1-2 “big ideas” you’d love to see come to life. Craft each idea into a single, compelling phrase that invites collaboration. For example:
"Decarbonizing diets to improve health and planetary resilience"
"Resilient regional food hubs for climate-ready nutrition"
When crafting your phrase, think about how your idea could naturally involve multiple disciplines or areas of expertise. These ideas will form the foundation of our brainstorming sessions and help us shape actionable research topics during the event. Think big and be bold!
