Add to calendarJoin the Center for Environmental Farming Systems for the Organic Soil Health Field School, a hands-on workshop focused on practical soil health strategies for organic farming systems. This train-the-trainer workshop is designed for Extension agents, farmers, educators, agency partners and agricultural stakeholders working with row crops, small-scale vegetables and specialty crops. Participants will learn about organic soil health practices, crop production, soil biology, soil carbon, greenhouse gas emissions and more. The workshop will provide practical, field-based knowledge that participants can use on farms and share with producers and communities.
Lunch and snacks will be provided.
Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (SARE) is sponsoring the workshop. NC Cooperative Extension agents and other trainers may qualify for free registration. Complete the Soil Health Field School form to apply before you register. If you qualify for free registration, SARE will reach out to you to provide a code to register for free.
Southern SARE is also providing scholarships for farmers to attend this event. Complete the scholarship form to apply.
