Strength in Service: Advancing First Responder Resilience Through Research & Practice

This symposium brings together researchers, frontline professionals, students, peer support leaders, and mental health practitioners for a day of learning focused on advancing wellness and resilience among first responders and correctional staff. Through presentations grounded in both research and lived experience, attendees will explore the cultural and occupational realities that shape trauma exposure, help-seeking, peer support, resilience, and therapeutic engagement. Speakers will highlight evidence-informed and practice-based approaches to supporting first responder resilience and mental wellbeing.
