Know Your IX Day 2026: Know Your IX. Protect the Herd.

Join us for this year's Know Your IX Day event on Thursday, August 20, 2026. It will be held in the Marshall University Memorial Student Center from 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. In person attendance only.

Schedule:

➤Campus & Community Resource Fair
10 AM - Noon / Main Lobby, MSC 1st Floor
*During this event, student participants will go around the MSC 1st floor Lobby and collect a unique sticker from each table to add to their "Resource Notebook" (provided by us at check in) as they visit each table and learn about the resources the groups offer. Completing and turning in your "Resource Notebook" after visiting at least 9 tables will earn you an additional entry for the door prize drawing!

➤Presentation #1 - Strangulation Isn't Sexy: The Lethal Truth of "Rough Sex" and "I Won't Do it Again" by Lt. Tony Craigo, Lieutenant of Criminal Investigations at Putnam Co. Sheriff's Department & Shannon Petree Beckett, Director of Systems Advocacy at Branches Domestic Violence Shelter

➤Presentation #2 - Evidence and Empowerment: Marshall University, the SAKI Project & Victim Advocacy in West Virginia by Marshall University's Forensic Science Center, WV SAKI Coordinator, Larry Hasley & CONTACT Rape Crisis Center
3 PM - 4:30 PM / Shawkey Dining Room, MSC 2nd Floor

At the actual event, make sure to check in at each part you attend and complete the Resource Fair activity noted below to be entered to win a door prize. Each check in/completion of the extra activity will earn you an additional entry opportunity! This year's door prize is the winner's choice of either a set of Apple AirPods Pro 3 or Samsung Galaxy Buds 4 Pro Wireless Earbuds!
