Western Idaho Fair Volunteering - Support the Campus Food Pantry

We're excited to announce that the Boise State Campus Food Pantry has been selected as the beneficiary of the 2026 CBS2 News & Western Idaho Fair Opening Day Food Drive - and we need your help to make this event a success!

Last spring semester, the Campus Food Pantry supported more than 21,000 visits. This annual food drive is one of our most important opportunities to restock our shelves before the fall semester begins, ensuring students have access to the resources they need. Your time and support make a meaningful difference!

Volunteer Details:
Friday, August 21
11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. (Volunteer for a 1–2 hour shift)
Locations: Western Idaho Fairgrounds & Boise State Campus

Volunteers will help: 

• Welcome and greet fair attendees
• Collect and sort food donations
• Answering questions about the Boise State Campus Food Pantry
• Assist with loading and unloading donations from Boise State vehicles

Volunteers will receive free entry to the Western Idaho Fair and a chance to win other cool prizes and giveaways!
