Day of Service at Historic Virginia Key Beach Park

Join us for a Day of Service at Historic Virginia Key Beach Park!

 

Help restore the ecosystem by removing invasive plants and cleaning up the shoreline, while learning about the park’s rich cultural legacy. Give back, connect with nature, and honor a historic community space.

 

Transportation Details:

We will have two MDC vans departing from MDC Wolfson Campus

You must pre-register for this event.  We will send you two releases of liability forms. 

 

What to Bring:

• 👕 Loose-fitting clothing that protects you from the sun and is suitable for outdoor work (you might get dirty!)

• 🧢 Sun protection: hat or visor, sunscreen, and sunglasses

• 💧 Refillable water bottle

•📄 Two Release of Liability Waivers

 

1.      Each volunteer will also need to complete a volunteer waiver form:

Please email me a copy ( cmutis@mdc.edu) by Wed, Sept 18 and bring the originals.  You will not be able to participate without the forms.

If you’re under 18, a guardian must sign them
