Morning modules (campers select 1):
What is Finance? Let’s Look at Banking and the Stock Market!
Do you think you can make a portfolio and make more money in five days than your teachers can? Students will learn about balancing a checkbook, investing in conservative things like CDs, what mortgages and reverse mortgages are, and also reading the financial information. Students will be able to spend time on Bloomberg terminals and create mock portfolios while learning about financial literacy. With Professor Michael Fox and Professor Reza Hossain
Math - Codes, Ciphers, and Spies… Oh my!
Want to learn how to send secret messages, and how to break them? During this week you’ll learn some classical enciphering systems, and on Friday you’ll have a chance to test your skills and break out of an in-class escape room! This course will be fun for anyone who enjoys mathematics or solving puzzles. With Professor Jen Bready
Biology - Phage Hunting
Step into the world of authentic scientific discovery in this hands-on, week-long phage hunting experience. Using current state of the art technologies, learn to isolate, identify and characterize novel bacteriophages (viruses that infect bacteria) from local soil samples and ultimately name your own novel virus. As part of this scientific journey of discovery, you will learn and apply the process of science, and gain a deeper understanding of how tiny organisms can make a big impact on health and medicine. No prior experience needed—just curiosity and a willingness to get your hands dirty! With Professor Suparna Bhalla
From Idea to Screen: A 5-Day Filmmaking Intensive
This module introduces students to the fundamentals of filmmaking through hands-on, collaborative projects. Over five days, students will learn how stories are developed, shot, edited, and shared. Each day focuses on a core filmmaking skill, building toward the creation of a collaborative short film by the end of the week. No prior experience required / equipment and software provided. With Professor Merle Becker
Afternoon modules (campers select 1):
Chemistry - Plastic: Friend or Foe?
In this week of discovery, students will take a forensic journey to uncover the hidden reality of our world’s most versatile yet persistent material: plastic. This experience will challenge students to consider how the usefulness and ubiquity of polymers in modern life cause it to become an invisible "micro-menace" infiltrating our local waters and our food. Through hands-on testing and microscopic analysis, students will learn about the plastics we use every day, and the hidden dangers posed by their presence in our environment. With Professor Lynn Maelia
Guess Who’s Coding in Python? You!
Whether you are completely new to coding or you have some experience this week will introduce you to the Python coding language and by the end you’ll be coding your own game! Learn a skill that is highly marketable and will teach you logical thinking, problem-solving, debugging skills, creativity and persistence. No prior coding experience necessary and all equipment and software will be provided. With Professor Kathy Venable

Visual Design - Logo and Graphics Snowboard Design
Create a logo and graphics design for a fictitious Snowboard company. We’ll use Adobe Illustrator to create the snowboard company logo and then we’ll work on graphics for a sample board. We’ll build up the design with an array of shapes, lines or patterns to produce a captivating composition based on your own concept. The final design will then be built up on a snowboard deck template to show off the design in all its glory. With Professor Chris Neyen
