Join the GW Center for Interfaith & Spiritual Life (CISL) for a special morning of meditation, reflection, and community on the National Mall.
Building on GW's connection with the Walk for Peace, the morning will feature Bhante Pannakara, a monk from the Walk for Peace, alongside GW Buddhist Chaplain Rev. Amitha Khema Thero. Students will experience short guided meditations, quiet reflection, and practical mindfulness practices focused on cultivating calm, compassion, and inner peace.
No previous meditation experience is needed. Students of all religious, spiritual, and secular backgrounds are welcome.
What to Know: Wear comfortable clothing and shoes suitable for walking and sitting outdoors. You do not need to bring anything. Meditation cushions will be available, and you are welcome to bring your own yoga mat or meditation cushion if you prefer.
Free for GW students | Registration required
Presented by the Buddha Meditation Center of Greater Washington, DC in collaboration with the GW Center for Interfaith & Spiritual Life.
