Hello Bay Area,

We are a group of 4 housemates seeking a 5th to join us on May 1st. You'd be joining an established household that's successfully done the shared living thing since last June. Our owner needs to sell and so the four of us are moving together. This beautiful, spacious 5bd/3ba West San Jose house is a real find. We're looking for the right person to be our 5th housemate.

Price will be around $950, room-size, closet space, and some other considerations dependent -- there's small rooms and one with a large walk-in closet for those with a preference. Your share of the security deposit will be $950.

The House

-5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Two stories of approximately 1,920 square feet.

-You'd have a private room and share a bathroom with one other person. There's a good chance of picking your room if you join us early enough. One has a large walk-in closet.

-Located approximately 5-10 minutes from Cupertino, 20 minutes from Sunnyvale and Mountain View, 15 minutes from downtown San Jose. Easy access to CA-85 and US-280. Well-located in the heart of Silicon Valley.

-Newly remodeled in January. There's a nice modern kitchen, refinished wood floors, and newly carpeted bedrooms (minus the one with a wood floors).

-Washer/Dryer in the garage, along with a second refrigerator. There's a wine fridge in the dining room too.

-There's room to park one car in the garage. House has a large driveway and plentiful street parking (no permits required).

-We will be signing a one-year lease. You'll be included on it.

The Housemates

-We are a diverse group of four young professionals. Two of us moved in together last June. The other two moved in during December.

-B.D. is a software engineer, a triple black belt, and can change ceiling lights without needing a chair. He's originally from California. He's our engineer and Mr. Fix-It.

-A.L. is a social entrepreneur running her own health and start-up project through Stanford. She's originally from L.A. and is into art, technology, and frequently away at conferences. She's our decorator, florist, and resident Type A.

-J.Y. is a lawyer, writer, and product manager at a tech company. He's originally from the Bay Area and likes to read, hike, and watch the San Jose Sharks blow it in the playoffs. He's our house counselor.

-R.F. is chemical engineer and researcher at Stanford. He's currently studying for the MCAT, likes to watch Netflix, and is our house sports junkie.
