$1200 unfurnished room in furnished house, Palo Alto (Oregon & Alma)

Unfurnished room in furnished house (5 bedroom/3.5 bathroom) open at Oregon and Alma. Rent is $1200, paid month-to-month with the caveat that if one of us should decide to move on, we find a replacement. The house is beautiful, complete with backyard lawn, big open cooking space, large living room/dining room, one friendly dog, and four wonderful roommates :)

About us: we are 2 girls and 2 guys, all mid-20s and Stanford grads working in the area/finishing up grad school. We are fun and sociable, and our interests include swing dancing/social dance, random engineering projects, the start-up scene, sailing, juggling, ultimate frisbee, etc.

Our kitchen is Kosher (ie please no pork, and as long as unkosher food is not cooked in the kitchen it is ok in the house), but only one of us is kosher, and everyone's doing just fine-- my roommate looking over my shoulder right now says she doesn't feel limited at all in what she can and can't eat-- granted she doesn't eat bacon or ham except maybe on a Hawaiian pizza, but there you have it. Don't hesitate to ask any questions!

About you: You are someone cool, courteous/respectful, and for whom bacon is not a vital food. The roomies are a pretty social bunch (the dinner party type, not the rager type)—we have our own lives, but often kick back together at the end of the day.
