<b>Overview</b>
<b>Summerhill Goat Dairy</b> is seeking a dedicated and experienced <b>Assistant Production Manager</b> for our creamery. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of milk plant processes. We are looking for someone who is willing to learn and grow with us.
<b>Duties</b>:This full time individual will work closely with the Production Manager to: • Participate in daily operations – pasteurizing, bottling, packaging and shipping. • Oversee the development and production of cultured dairy products • Assist in conducting regular quality checks and ensure compliance with food safety regulations, sanitation guidelines, and other regulatory requirements. • Assist with administrative duties, including record-keeping, data entry, and reporting of all creamery procedures and operations Maintain the highest quality standards in the production of dairy products • Assist in monitoring inventory levels of raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished products. • Ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of creamery equipment and facilities. • Perform other job-related duties as needed.
<b>Required Qualifications:</b> • Experience: At least one year of experience in dairy product manufacturing. • Knowledge of dairy processing equipment and procedures. • Able to acquire and maintain a Pasteurizer’s License and General Weightier & Samplers License. • Able to acquire HACCP, PCQI and SQF Practitioner certificates. • Able to interact effectively with a diverse group of people • Able to multi-task and prioritize with limited supervision • Excellent organizational and written communication skills • Computer skills (MS Office; Word, Excel)
<b>Preferred Qualifications:</b> • Education: Bachelor’s Degree. Preferably in Food Science, Dairy Science or related field. • Previous experience in dairy, food production, and/or food manufacturing. • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
<b>Job Type:</b> Full-time
<b>Pay:</b> $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
<b>Expected hours:</b> 40 per week
