PRN Medical Assistant Certified (MA-C)
Location: Rainier Clinical Research Center, Renton, WA
Rainier Clinical Research Center is a privately-owned clinical research center conducting clinical trials for pharmaceutical, biotech, and device companies. We are seeking a PRN Medical Assistant Certified (MA-C) with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
The PRN Medical Assistant Certified acts as support staff for the Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) team.
Key Duties: • Assist with clinical research studies, including collection of blood or lab specimens and preparing specimens for shipment • Collect patient vitals and complete interim visits as appropriate • Provide data entry support, including entry into paper or electronic data capture (EDC) systems and resolving data queries • Consent patients for research studies • Provide general clerical support for study protocols: filing, photocopying, supply inventory, restocking, answering phones, and other clinic duties • Assist with scheduling and tracking subject visits • Screen prospective study participants as needed • Upload and maintain study team folders • Complete EDC data entry and resolve basic EDC queries • Clean and restock exam rooms; unpack, pack, store, and maintain study supplies • Assist CRCs with maintaining study logs • Prepare patient charts for visits, including screening packets • Prepare for monitoring visits: resolve queries, ensure filing completed, pull charts • Complete study phone calls and assist with other visits as directed • Review subject eDiary data for completion and re-education • Label and copy Investigational Product (IP) as directed by CRC • Send and receive record requests; assist with medical record review • File lab results and assist with archiving closed studies if needed • FST support, prepare participant meals, YSI, phlebotomy, device testing, uploads, insertions, removals & analysis • Ensure sufficient supply of study kits and process/ship labs in accordance with IATA guidelines
Requirements: • Valid Medical Assistant Certification (MA-C) from the State of Washington • Excellent attention to detail • Phlebotomy (and IV) training/experience preferred • Excellent communication skills • Strong time management and ability to prioritize workload • Computer literate and able to enter database information quickly and accurately • Proficiency in English sufficient to perform duties • Knowledge of medical terminology and medications preferred
Compensation: $22–$30 per hour
Eligible Benefits: • PTO: Accrual of 0.0577 hours per hour worked • 401(k) plan
Work Location: On-site only (Remote work not available)
