$1500 Mansion full of Success and Creative Fun (san jose south)

I have a room available at $1500 per month for the right person in a really unique and amazing house. The room is fully furnished and totally ready for you with a queen-size bed. Rent includes healthy food always available, bi-weekly cleaning, laundry, Internet, Dish TV, and all utilities; everything that you need to be maximally productive at your own personal mission without even thinking about it.

The house is a 6000 square foot house with 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms on 4 acres in the foothills of San Jose with thousands of open acres right behind it. It is ½ mile from 101, 85, Caltrain and Wal-Mart. It is convenient to South Silicon Valley companies like IBM Almaden, Apple, Cisco, Ebay, Motorolla. We've equipped the house with workspace for 12 or dining for 20, a projection screen theater with massive couch, and a gym area in the works out of the 3-car garage.

The roomates started at Stanford years ago and evolved through several storied houses until landing here. They include: a data scientist from Stanford and MIT who often disappears for months at a time to support special operations in Afghanistan, a former olympic-level swimmer working at Palantir and finishing an MS&E degree at Stanford, a Google group leader, a Yellow Labrador who keeps order, and a Dalmatian named Ozymandias who is hell-bent on world domination. Former roommates have been startup CEOs, Postdocs, Y-Combinator teams, medical professionals and the like.

As for the house culture, we host monthly Professional Women's events as well as weekend hill runs and group bike rides in our huge backyard playground. At least once a week we host family-style dinners or outdoor BBQs with guests, and we try to throw in some other fun event like a game or movie (we need to get more creative about these). There is one limitation, and this is a major one, so listen up: there is NO ALCOHOL allowed in the house. This is not a religious or moral thing; it's just something we've learned that we need to enforce with a house this big lest it turns into "Animal House".

It's not for everybody, but if you like super-motivated nerds and creative fun, you'll love this place. Keeping it this way is very simple; we need to make sure that we can get excited about the things you are doing and that you aren't going to bring problems. To do so, we need to make sure that you are exceptionally motivated. For instance, you could have an education from a top school or in a difficult field like STEM or a professional degree. You could have a great job at a top Silicon Valley tech firms, or be the founder of a legitimate startup with a real product. If you've spent over 5000 hours of diligent practice at any skill, we'll probably be impressed.
