I've recently moved to the city, and can no longer justify owning a car. Work has been consuming most of my time so there's be unfortunately, substantially less dawn patrols.
Awesome things:
- Fits a 7'10" surfboard with the top on
- The top still works
- Driving a convertible in Cali is the dream
- You can jump into it like the Dukes of Hazard
- Been in the Stanford family
- looks boss
- Only 130,000 miles
- well taken care (only synthetic oil under my watch)
Other facts:
- leather has torn a bit on the driver side seat from me jumping in too many times as in dukes of hazard
- passenger seat belt is a bit sticky, needs some wd-40, or graphite
- passenger door also is a bit harder to open
- left rear parking light is has a dent
- front bumper is held on by zip ties (car came like this from previous owner, I rezipped tied with heavy duty zip ties)
I had the vehicle inspected one week ago, and here's the report:
tires - very good
fluids - good
- needs oil change soon, and more power steering fluid
brakes - very good
engine - very good
other - very good
Recommended repairs:
- valve cover gasket ($160 in labor, $52 for part)
leaking a bit of oil
Optional repairs:
- battery lead ($80 in labor, $120 for part)
- power steering hose ($200 in labor, $120 for part)
^ this will fix the lack of power steering when parking, the power
steering works the rest of the tim
