The detached cottage is located behind a main house (also a rental) at the rear of the property. It has it's own entry and a private fenced back yard which includes a small paverstone patio. The rear fence is covered with flowering vines.
The cottage is attached to a garage which is primarily used by the main house. There is some shelf storage space dedicated to the cottage tenant. There are shared laundry (washer and dryer) facilities located in the garage and for use by the cottage tenant.
The sun filled cottage has lots of windows. The interior has an open Living/Dining /Kitchen area and a separate Bedroom and Bathroom. The interior is painted with great color schemes. There are hardwood floors throughout the living spaces. The kitchen area has a tiled floor.
The kitchen has wood cabinets, white fridge and a small stove/oven. Kitchen includes tile counter top, stainless steel sink with a garbage disposal and faucet. There is a dining counter (peninsula). The kitchen/dining area has a vaulted ceiling. There is some additional storage in the attic accessed by a small door in the wall of the vaulted ceiling. The bathroom was remodeled a few years back and all fixtures and finishes were replaced.
There is no off-street parking but plenty of street parking. The home is very conveniently located in a great neighborhood of older homes (+/- 70 years) with great, friendly neighbors/long time residents all around. You will be within a few short blocks (walking distance) of downtown Redwood City - restaurants, Fox Theater (great live shows), Century 20 megaplex movie theater, CalTrain station, Sequoia High School and Sequoia Station - a shopping center with Safeway, CVS, Starbucks, Jamba Juice, Old Navy, Barnes & Noble, See's, PetCo, etc. There is also a large Whole Foods Market two blocks away.
Sewer, water and garbage are included. Renter responsible for gas, electricity, telephone and television.

We are asking $1,825.00/month plus utilities as noted above and a cleaning/security deposit of $1,900.00 (not to be used as last month's rent).

I currently live here and am very very happy with the cottage, the area (I am a female living alone, it is very quiet and safe, but still just a walk away from everything including Caltrain) and also my landlords. As I will leave the country, it is possible to take over my complete furniture (bed, couch, lamps, table&chairs, dishes and kitchenware, seriously everything to just move in) for USD800 - if wanted of course.
