Looking to rent out a single bedroom in a fun Menlo Park house. Current household is a female PhD student at Stanford, a male engineer at Tesla, and a soon-to-graduate-and-move-out Stanford MS student (me). We also have a cat and dog, so ideally you would like animals have experience with dogs.
Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is fun and friendly and wants to socialize (bonus points if you like to play soccer!). We don't really have any rules or chores -- basically you clean up after yourself and respect other people and their belongings. Not so hard. :-)
The house has an amazing front yard with fruit trees and rose bushes, fenced in backyard with a patio and storage sheds, and inside has an expansive kitchen with gas stoves, new dishwasher and refrigerator, a high-efficiency washer & dryer and a large living room with lots of natural light. There's one bathroom with a shower, toilet and sink, and a half bath with just a toilet and sink.
Your bedroom has a large screened window that opens to the backyard and a large closet. You can rent it furnished ($1100/mo), or unfurnished ($1050/mo) with the option to buy any/all of the furniture in it. It currently has window drapes, a queen-sized TempurPedic mattress + frame & headboard, matching oak dresser and nightstand, desk and desk chair, bookshelf and an extra three-tier storage rack. Take everything for $400 or we can negotiate individual prices.
