1br - room with private entrance + private bathroom (east bay)

1 unfurnished bedroom w/ a separate private entrance and private bathroom in spacious 2 bedroom apartment near Oakland's Laurel district for 1200/mo plus utilities. The apartment has high ceilings, lots of natural light, is fully furnished but the room will come unfurnished. The kitchen is shared and fully stocked w/ all the utensils one could want and there is also a shared washer/dryer in the unit.

The ideal roommate would be a quiet, concientious working professional or graduate student. You would be sharing the apartment with me, a PhD student and I have a home office and need lots of peace and quiet to write my dissertation during the day. I live a monastic existence so this is not the spot to host rowdy social gatherings.

Your portion of utilities which is wifi (Comcast) and PG&E is $70-100 (depending on our usage of the gas heater during the winter) though on the lower end now and through the warm summer/spring months.

Move in August 1st and pay one month rent ($1200) + deposit ($1250) = $2450 move in costs. Month to month but I prefer to have someone who is willing to stay for the year.
