2002 Eurovan MV Weekender with lots of maintenance services and upgrades. Ready for that road trip life! Just pick it up, pack it up and GO!
Currently a few hundred miles under 194,000 miles. Yes, a lot of miles. However, a lot of the major services have been recently done (receipts will come with the vehicle and available for examination).
We have had this wonderful vehicle for 2 years and put about 8,000 miles on it. We put a lot of money into it to make sure it is a reliable vehicle for our family during our travels. Here are some of the items we worked on after we got it:
Below are a few of the other upgrades/modifications completed over the past couple two years.
This van has the 16 inch wheels and are size 235 / 60 R16. Weight rating is 104T on the two new tires I purchased in June 2019 and they have less than 3000 miles so far.
The van originally came with 1 key. I have since hunted for and found and purchased 2 additional remote keys for the van for a total of 3 remote key fobs that were all programmed at the dealer.
Van has seats for 7 passengers. You can remove the rear facing seat behind the front passenger and replace it with a sink and cabinet unit. Has a shelf that folds out on it as well. Runs off of the cigarette lighter when you plug it in.
The previous owner sewed on fabric on either side of the factory curtains. They are now effective black out curtains.
I have a practically new bug screen for the back trunk area so you can leave the trunk open and keep the bugs out.
I have the factory curtain for the front passenger area that can be put up for privacy.
Replaced a bunch of small items. Adjusted things that were not quite perfect.
Issues:
Small dent on the driver side near the front of the rear wheel fender. This is how we bought the car.
After the heater core was replaced at 190k the heater is slightly smelly. Slowly getting better over time. Residual plastic type smell. The paint on the bumpers is starting to fade. The clear coat on the pop top is peeling off. It looked bad when it was starting to peel. Now that it is almost all gone, it is starting to look a lot better.
We love this vehicle, but it is our 3rd car. Living in SF where parking is limited takes up more of our time that we would like moving it around to avoid getting street cleaning tickets. We are also at a deciding point if we want to try and move up to an RV in the future or a travel trailer. If we sell this van then we may consider that. If not, we can keep doing trips in this van.
Feel free to call or email me with any questions. I probably have missed a few things. I can send more pictures as well.
