Preference for female housemate, but open. Will also consider couples at $2500/month.
1 Year lease. Move in cost includes 1st month rent + 1 month deposit.
Utilities (water, gas, electricity, garbage + mandated by landlord gardener, internet) are split equally every month by all tenants. Split three ways, its about ~$100 a month.
Can move within 2 weeks or at the latest, September 1, 2020.
Room details:
- We don’t have exact measurements, but it can easily fit 3 queen beds inside of it. Our previous roommate had it furnished with a queen bed, a 70 inch tv, two desks, and a treadmill and still had plenty of room to spare.
- Includes a full walk in closet the size of a small bedroom, and a private master bathroom with a standing shower, double vanity, and jacuzzi.
- Room comes unfurnished
Rest of the House:
- There is a separate half bathroom downstairs by the atrium, and downstairs has a Harry Potter like closet under the stairs that we all share for storage
- Living room is furnished with an L shaped couch, 75 inch TV, and coffee table. Also have storage for electronics and board games in this area.
- There’s a small side balcony. We put a chair out there to go out and have some sun once in a while
- Kitchen is gigantic. Has an island, a 9 burner gas stove, TWO sinks, a regular fridge and a wine fridge, a dishwasher and a 6 person dining table.
- Two car garage with two car driveway, with lots of garage cabinet storage
- Washer and Dryer unit in the garage
- The kitchen is fully furnished with basically anything you might need (we don’t have a stand mixer though…)
Location:
- The neighborhood is quiet and super safe. We’re walking distance to a few high schools, parks and downtown Millbrae (Boba, food, safeway, trader joes, Asian grocery store, etc)
- Located a 12 minute walk to the Millbrae Caltrain and Bart.
- About a 5 minute drive from the 280 and 101
- 10 minute drive to SFO
About US:
- Two women in our mid twenties/ early 30s
- Work in the VC/ Tech world
- From Dallas and Philly
- Mostly keep to ourselves, but do try to eat dinner together most nights.
- We do roommate outings, and with quarantine have started to embroider, watch movies, and scrapbook together lol
What we’re looking for:
- No drama. We’re both very blunt and open. Our big thing is just be considerate. If you’re going to do something that will affect the house, lets just talk about it
- We would have a strong preference for roommates who are also open with the idea of being friends because we’ve seen that it leads to a better house dynamic
- You don’t have to do this, but if you want to, we tend to do costco trips to split household things like toilet paper, paper towels, eggs.
Concerning COVID19:
- With everything going on with COVID and the two of us traveling when COVID isn’t happening, we split everything equally to keep it simple (aka, if you have to go home for a month, we still split utilities equally not by usage and still pay our share of rent).
- We’re both careful and if we do something that could potentially put the others are risk, we have a conversation about it (e.g going to protest, hanging out with other people, going to the gym). We expect the same from our new roommate
- We will have the room disinfected and cleaned. We ask that you also take safety precautions as you move in.
