$1,300
Rent: $1300 + split utilities (~ $100 per person, per month)
I have 3 rooms available in an awesome 4 bed/2 bath house with lots of parking in Palo Alto (Barron Park area). I have been living here for the last 10 months and am looking for 3 roommates to move in since my current roommates are all graduating and moving out. I'm thinking of taking the master bedroom/bathroom because of my work schedule but am flexible. The three rooms available will be sharing one bathroom. However, it is quite big and has a double sink.
The House:
~ 1475 sq ft in total
~ two car garage (spacious and has a washer and dryer installed)
~ lots of street parking
~ a sizable backyard with lemon and orange trees
~ a nice front yard with a long porch
~ The kitchen features an open top gas range stove, an oven, a refrigerator, dishwasher, and lots of cabinets.
~ The dining area is nicely sized and right next to the kitchen.
~ There are french doors and a sliding door that close the kitchen/dining areas off from the living room, which is quite big and spacious.
~ There is a large shared closet next to the entryway/foyer for coats, shoes, storage. There is also a shared linen closet in the hallway.
**There is a bike path that leads directly to Stanford. I believe it is about a 15 minute bike ride to Stanford (10-12 minutes by car). It is also biking distance to shops on El Camino Real. This place is truly a gem!
The Rooms:
-Room 1 & 2 ($1,300)
These rooms are unfurnished and are about 9.5x9 with a large closet along one wall. Both rooms comfortably fit a large dresser or desk, twin sized bed, and still has floor space to spare. Both rooms also have windows and ground heating vents.
-Room 3 ($1,350)
The room is unfurnished and is about 10x10 with a large closet along one wall. It comfortably fits a dresser, desk, queen sized bed, and still has floor space to spare. This room has a large window and a ground heating vent.
About me:
I'm a Stanford alumnus who just recently returned (September 2018) to work at Stanford after a 5 year teaching/counseling stint in South Korea. I keep common areas clean and am a respectful roommate who can have the realest of real talks if you're up for a few laughs haha. My job allows me to work from home for the majority of August-March and I travel during the summer. I also host occasional dinner parties that you would be more than welcome to participate in.
About you:
I am looking for friendly roommates who are LGBTQ+ friendly, mature, responsible, respectful, keep common areas clean, and want to have casual conversations. Significant others are welcome to stay over as long as they are not basically living with you haha. Other overnight guests are also okay as long as we give each other a heads up.
Logistics:
The rooms will be available on July 1st. You will need to go through the application process (application form and credit score check) with the landlord. Due upon move in is the first month's rent and a security deposit equal to first month’s rent. This is a one-year lease. The landlord is great and very responsive. No pets allowed.
I can arrange for a home visit if you're in the area and can have a Skype call if you're not in the area.
