Looking for a roommate (preferably female) who is neat and considerate. The loft bedroom has huge windows, which you can see the mountains on one side. It's very spacious (standard size for one bedroom) and people can't see up the loft from the living, dining room or kitchen. You have your own private stairs to your loft and you will be sharing the bathroom with me (a 24 year old female who is currently working at a nonprofit startup organization). You will be sharing the apartment with two other people (I will stay in the second bedroom, and the third roommate I'm still searching for will stay in the master bedroom). The kitchen is well equipped, we have our own washer and dryer in the unit, and we even have a small balcony and a fireplace.
The apartment complex is called Avalon Silicon Valley. They are a very reputable apartment complex, and you can pay your bill online, and also file fix it requests online. For the online fix it requests, they will have someone come to fix your requests within a day, otherwise you get one day of free rent!
For amenities, there are two heated outdoor swimming pools, two hot tubs, a clubhouse with three huge screen tvs that you can rent for functions, an outdoor bbq pit. They also have a 24-hour fitness gym with weights, and cardio machines with tvs, and free yoga, kickboxing, pilates etc classes three times a week. They have an indoor spa with sauna, jacuzzi, and steam bath. There is also a mini-market, a business center, a dry cleaner, a playground and a sport court where you can play badminton and basketball. You can read more about their amenities here: http://www.avaloncommunities.com/avaloncore/nfeature.asp?commname=Avalon-Silicon-Valley. So, the loft bedroom is a great deal because you are not paying as much as you would have to otherwise and you are able to use the great facilities. Normally each room in Avalon Silicon Valley costs more than $1000 each for a 2 or 3 bedroom.
The area is very safe, and it's right off of 101. We are very close to El Camino which has great restaurants.
Lastly utilities (gas, electricity, water, and internet) and renters insurance will be approximately a total of $30-$50/person/month and the common areas are furnished already. To chip in for the common area furniture (sofa and dining table) we ask that you pay $130 to the person who you will be replacing, and if you move out, you can ask the person replacing you to pay you for a portion of that cost. There is also a deposit of $250/person so you will be writing the person you will be replacing the check for the deposit and will get it back when you move out.
The earliest move in date is August 12, 2011. Please email me if you're interested to set up a time to see the place.
