We're looking for an easygoing roommate to share a private house in Menlo Park, available Oct. 31. The house is on Marmona drive in Menlo Park, within walking distance of downtown Palo Alto, and an easy 2ish mile bike ride to Stanford. Rent is $900 + utilities, the lease is 1yr.

The room:
Large sunny room with hardwood floors, recently remodeled private bathroom, and two big closets.

The house:
3bdr, 2bath house with a detached studio above the garage. Hardwood floors, fireplace in the living room, new central heating system, wireless DSL. On-site laundry and plenty of storage space in the garage for bikes and other belongings. There are front and back yards, as well as a sunny patio with lounge chairs, a bbq, a fresh herb garden, and flowers. Last but not least, there is a giant trampoline in the back yard. :)

The roommates:
You will share the house with two roommates, both late 20s/early30s. Rachel is a Stanford grad student finishing her PhD in neuroscience. She goes to burning man every year, rides a unicycle on the weekends, and likes to have improv dance parties in the living room. Arif is a working professional who cooks delicious Turkish food and tells awesome brainteasers. We have our own lives, but enjoy hanging out together when we're all home. Every month or so, we like to get together for a house dinner. We're looking for a housemate who has his or her own thing going on, but is interested in being a part of our community.
