Apartment and Room:

It is a 2 bed, 1.5 bath room home with a nice big kitchen and a living room. The apartment comes with a bit of secondary storage as well if you have extra things. I'm the primary lessor and will be using one of the rooms. You will have a nice room with a medium sized closet on the back of the unit away from the street noise. It is a condo apartment there are laundry facilities within the building in the garage downstairs. There is also a lovely common garden in the back of the building maintained by one of the owners. This unit comes with street parking only.

Utilities will be split in half. We're only responsible for PG&E and Internet (Sonic.Net). Usually it ends up being about $40-$45/person.

There is furniture in the apartment but your room will come unfurnished. If you have any furniture we can work out how to use it or buy something else. But I would love to keep the living room minimal with lots of walking space, it can get crowded easily.

Me (Roommate):

Engineer in his mid-30s. I work in the peninsula and commute regularly. I'm generally at the office during the day though occasionally I do work at home. If you work at home as well we'll figure something out. I tend to be out and about during the week nights and the weekends. I will throw occasional dinner, music parties for friends etc. Occasionally during heavy periods at work I tend to have longer hours up at night or early morning. I'm pretty flexible with working things out so just have a chat.

General stuff:

Generally like to keep the apartment clean & presentable for those impromptu get-togethers with friends. I will occasionally have family/friends stay over a few nights especially if they are from out of town. I'm flexible and willing to work with you on arrangements. But I'd rather not have live-in girlfriends/boyfriends/relatives etc. I prefer to have one roommate. Generally I cook vegetarian food; but I have no problem with cooking or eating anything in the house. Regardless I would just ask you to clean up and keep the common areas presentable. I would expect you to be comfortable helping with keeping the apartment clean -- yes that includes the bathrooms :-).

Unfortunately I can't accept any pets.

Viewing appointment:
I usually do 1/2 hour weekday appointments in the evening OR weekends if you decide you're interested. I'd like to physically meet potential roommates for interviews and have them see the apartment before I rent it out. There will be an application you have to fill out. There may be an appl. processing fee depending on if the owner wants to run a credit check etc.

Deposit will be ONE month's rent. So, move-in costs total to $1800 (dep.) + $1800 (1st month) and can be Early or Mid May (flexible). Length of stay is also flexible.

Note: The photos are slightly old but it should give you a good idea of the size and layout. Only some furniture has changed
