Autism Research at Stanford: 10 weeks free intervention/training

Autism Research at the Center for Interdisciplinary Brain Sciences Research

Children with Autism (ages 13-19 years) are needed for a research study including weekly 1-hour sessions for 12 consecutive weeks. The study will explore how brain function changes with training.

Participation includes:

• Cognitive and behavioral evaluation
• Brain imaging using functional Near Infrared Spectroscopy (fNIRS). Scans are safe, non-invasive and do not use x-rays or radiation
• Weekly one-hour training sessions for 10 consecutive weeks, and two additional visits for assessments

You will receive:

• Cognitive and behavioral assessments for your child including an IQ assessment and Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS)
• A research report of the assessment results upon request
• Free training to improve social skills as well as face processing skills
• Updates about the outcomes of the study upon request
• Payments of $25 per visit, and up to $350 for your complete participation
