Bedroom for rent in Mountain View

We’re renting one room in a lovely 3-beds 1.5-bath house in Mountain View which features a small front yard (with raised-bed gardens for growing veggies and herbs), a bigger backyard, and a garage.

My wife and I have the master bedroom and one of the smaller bedrooms (which we use as an office and sometimes as a guest room). The room we’re renting is furnished and measures approximately 9 x 10 feet, plus a wall closet; it’s not huge, but it fits a queen bed, a nightstand, and a second dresser comfortably.

The house is located in the quiet neighborhood of Monta Loma, across the street from Google X headquarters, less than 10 minutes walking distance from the San Antonio Caltrain station (about half a mile), and very close to the San Antonio shopping center (about a mile).

I am a research scientist at Stanford, and my wife is an operations manager for a tech startup. We’re both in our mid-thirties, and we like cooking, watching HBO shows, hanging out in San Francisco, and go to the occasional hike in the redwoods. We have a 5-years old white lab, who’s very sweet and was trained as a guide dog by Guide Dogs of America (though she never got to work as one, so she’s officially “retired” now). Unfortunately, we're not able to accommodate another pet.

Our ideal roommate is a young professional around our age who knows how to contribute to a friendly and fun environment while respecting personal space and time. We're happy to provide full access to the kitchen, as long as things are kept clean and tidy.
