Bedroom in a 3/2 house in Palo Alto, $1400 (Sept. 1st)

We are looking for a new housemate to move into a spacious bedroom in our 3/2 house on September 1st. The house is located in the Barron Park neighborhood of Palo Alto (an easy 3 mi bike ride from med school) and is currently occupied by two Stanford postdocs and a professional (f, m, m) + a friendly indoor/outdoor cat (no other pets allowed by the landlord).
The room comes with a walk-in closet, hardwood floors and a beautiful bay window. The bathroom will be shared with one other person.
The house has a large, fully equipped kitchen with granite countertops and lots of cabinets. There’s a dishwasher, a washer and a dryer.
We have a backyard with a covered patio and a vegetable garden (with biweekly gardening services–-and loads of delicious tomatoes!-–included in the rent). There’s also a garage and an attic with plenty of room for storage.
The rent is $1400 + utilities and a $1200 deposit. We expect the new housemate to be a Stanford postdoc/ graduate student and a considerate human being who will do their fair share keeping the house a clean and relaxing place to come home to. We’re also in the process of updating some of the living and dining room furniture and hope that the new housemate will be able to contribute.
