I moved into Quimby (3068 Kyne Street West) in San Mateo in April 2016 and am now moving to New Jersey end of September 2017. I need to find someone to take over my lease that ends in March 2018. This is an amazing apartment with everything you would want access to. I was the first person to live in the apartment so it is brand new and I've taken great care of the place since I've only been here for less than 6 months. The building has a boutique feel to it with grills, a hot tub, pool access in The Russell next door, great gym, swings outside, nearby park, 5 minute walk to caltrain, 10 minute walk to trader joes, 10 minute walk to Hillsdale Shopping Center, 10 minute walk to whole foods/chipotle/habit burger, 1 minute walk (coming soon) to Lift BBB, Roam Burger, Tinpot Creamery, and Blue Bottle Coffee. Survey Monkey is across the street, Fieldworks beer garden directly across from Quimby, 2 mile walk/5 minute drive to downtown San Mateo, beautiful parks within walking distance and so much more! Really it has everything and I'm very sad to be leaving it. Apartments are 90% sold out with only 1 or 2 one bedrooms left.
The interior has a beautiful modern interior with high end countertops, appliances, and finishes. There are two juliet balconies one in the living room and one in the bedroom which are very unique. Beautiful hardwood floors and the apartment is over 800 sq ft so plenty of space. Spacious bedroom with walk in closet and another closet for storage. Bathroom has an entrance from the bedroom and foyer area. Great sunlight in the apartment, especially in the morning. Very quiet and peaceful building. The apartment is on the 2nd floor.
Rent is $3412 which includes pool access. In addition I have an area that I've payed for in the community garden that you could probably take over if you were interested. I think all spots are taken so this would great if you like to garden. It's a 2 minute walk to the garden from the apartment.
You could move in probably in early October but we could work out the date specifics with management. The security deposit I paid was $1000. According to management they would keep the deposit and you would just need to pay that directly to me. I can show you proof of payment and/or they should be able to as well.
I am more than happy to provide additional photos or answer any other additional questions. This really is a great apartment that I know you would be happy in. It is also pet friendly if you have pets.
Apartment does not come with furniture unless you are interested in a specific item we can discuss pricing. Otherwise I plan to move everything with me.
