Hello all,
We are a handful of early 30's semi-professionals (mechanical engineers & techies) and we've got an impending vacancy on our 1.3 acre patch in the hills. We favor crickets over planes trains and cars, and we name our resident birds of prey.
We are:
me (eric), a mechanical engineer working on a medical device company, recently out of the Stanford Biodesign fellowship in med tech innovation. I'm into engines and just about anything with wheels, so figuratively/literally live in the garage. House is thus well equipped with tools for projects & house maintenance, etc. Other interests include vitamin D, spearfishing, & neuro-anything. Kseniya and Jesse reside in the master bedroom, are big outdoorsy people and have passions for yoga, art, photography, cycling, and coffee. They spend their days at Stanford and Apple. Rosie runs road and trail races, is an Alphabet-er with a spectacular vernacular, and handles trivia & puzzles well.
I stumbled onto the house on CL 3 years ago, and have since fallen in love with it and its owners, who are traveling & living around the world for a few years. The backyard is on the border of open space with walkable trail access down the hill. The corner room (~150sqft) is pictured with the elephant on the wall, and is lit nicely in the mornings with an east-facing window. All rooms are furnished including beds, desks, etc, but you'd of course be welcome to bring a bed and we'll throw the current one in the attic. You'll share a bathroom with Rosie, and there is an additional full bathroom around the corner.
It's a sizable house on a large amount of land, and there is some upkeep involved. We're interested in folks who are wiling, able, and eager to contribute to a shared living environment in a glorious slice of the south bay. Your neighbors may include a local judge, the real life Richard Hendricks and another CEO or two. Really though, your neighbors are deer, bobcats, turkeys and raptors. We are, again, animal fanatics and you'd be welcome to bring a dog with you. The house has two feral cats (they're quite domesticated, purchased by the landlady years ago, so we keep feeding them) but we do have an allergy- and toxoplasmosis-induced aversion to house cats (sorry!).
Rent is 1950 a month plus utilities, billed as they come and split 5 ways. Ready for move-in when you are.
Holler with questions and happy house hunting!
-eric
PS I can shoot over a bunch more photos if you'd like; SUpost limits to 4. just ask!
