I’m a young male professional and Stanford graduate looking for a new roommate for my 2BR/1BA apartment.
The apartment is located in downtown Palo Alto (i.e. near University Ave.) near Everett and Waverley.
I’m looking for someone who can pay $1700 per month. This includes the cost of utilities.
About the apartment:
- The free room is unfurnished. It is about 13' by 11' and has a large closet and NE-facing windows.
- There is a shared bathroom, kitchen, living room, and balcony.
- The apartment is on the top level of the building, up one flight of stairs.
- The location is great: 2 blocks from University, a 9-minute walk to the Palo Alto Caltrain station, a 13-minute walk to Whole Foods or Willows Market (with Trader Joe’s and Safeway a bike ride or short drive away), PAMF and other medical providers in walking distance, a park on the next block over, etc.
- The apartment building has shared coin-op laundry machines.
- You get a free parking spot under the building.
- You need to be added to the lease, which will involve a credit check. I'm not looking for short-term rentals of a few months. The lease is for one year, though shorter lease terms are available at an increased price ($1775 for 6-month, $1850 for month-to-month).
- Pets are not allowed.
- The room is available immediately.
Personal stuff:
- I’m a nerdy introvert. I read, play video games, and do software projects for fun. I’m pretty quiet and generally keep to myself.
- I have meals at work during the week, but sometimes cook for myself on weekends, so I appreciate a clean kitchen.
- No smoking/vaping or illegal drugs, please.
- I'd like to meet you in person and show you the apartment before you commit to moving in.
